Chief Ives began his Career in Law Enforcement in 2002 with the St. John Police Department. Chief Ives feels that communication and respect between the police department and citizens of Oxford is vital for the improvement of the City.

Grady Osborn, Sergeant
Education: US ARMY
Sergeant Osborn began his career in Law Enforcement in 2000 with the Dodge City Police Department. He came to Oxford in 2006 as a Patrolman and was promoted to Sergeant in 2008. He served in the US ARMY prior to his law enforcement career and is assigned as member of the Sumner County SWAT team.

John Adams, Part-Time Patrolman
Education: Associates Degree; Criminal Justice, Cowley College
Officer Adams started with the Udall Police Department in 1995 and continued employment after a 5 year leave of absence to serve on the city council. A 23 year veteran of the Kansas Department of Corrections and former Police Chief of Udall, he has a vast amount of law enforcement instructor credentials and assists our department as a trainer and part-time officer.

Jamie Chism, Part-Time Patrolman
Education: Master’s Degree, Business Management, Friends University
Officer Chism recently completed KLETC and has begun to serve the City of Oxford as a Part-Time Patrolman. He is a veteran of the US Marine Corps.

Tyler Lewellen, Part-Time Patrolman
Education: Associates degree from Flint Hills Technical College
Officer Lewellen completed KLETC in 2008. He worked as a part time officer for the City of Oxford in 2005. He then began working as a reserve for the Sumner County Sheriff Department. He has worked as a Detention Officer, and was hired as a Sheriff Deputy in 2007.
